Judge Schofield published her first Individual Rules today, and they seem to contemplate moving cases along quickly. The Rules state that “[m]otions will be resolved at the premotion conference to the extent possible,” and require parties to email the Court if a motion is not decided within 60 days of it being fully submitted. Also notable is that Judge Schofield presumptively limits electronic discovery to information going back 5 years from “10 key custodians,” with a presumptive cap on the time spent collecting electronic discovery of 160 hours.
